Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent/Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Task Force Officer Charged by Information with Production of Child Pornography

On August 29, 2025, an HSI Special Agent and FBI Task Force Officer was charged via Information with transportation by computer or cell phone of visual depictions of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Timothy Ryan Gregg was previously arrested and remains detained pending the charges brought in the District of Minnesota.  According to the Information and criminal complaint, Gregg used his cell phone to record and send images and videos of sexually explicit conduct with a 17-year old girl. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office, Department of Homeland Security OIG, and the FBI, with assistance from the Rochester, Minnesota Police Department.
