Former President of Nonprofit Organization Receiving DOJ Funds Indicted and Arrested for Theft from Employee Benefit Plans

On July 27, 2022, the former President of Social Services Interagency Council of Lake Havasu City, an entity that received Office of Justice Programs, Victims of Crime Act grant money, was arrested following an Indictment charging him with 18 counts of theft from employee benefit plans.  Glenn Michael Eigenbrodt was charged in the District of Arizona.  According to the Indictment, from on or about August 3, 2017, through on or about April 6, 2018, Eigenbrodt illegally used over $39,000 of employee benefit funds to settle personal claims, pay for legal fees, pay restaurant bills, and make direct payments to himself.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Tucson Area Office and the Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration, with forensic assistance provided by the OIG’s Cyber Investigations Office.
