Former BOP Drug Treatment Specialist Sentenced for Sexual Abuse of an Inmate

On July 29, 2022, a former BOP Drug Treatment Specialist assigned to the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, was sentenced to 80 months of incarceration followed by 10 years of supervised release, ordered to pay $5,500 in assessments, ordered to pay a yet to be determined restitution amount, and ordered to participate in a sex offender treatment program, for 5 counts of sexual abuse of a ward.  Hosea Lee, Jr. was sentenced in the Eastern District of Kentucky.  According to the factual statement in support of the guilty plea, from in or about August 2019 through in or about December 2019, Lee engaged in multiple sexual acts with four inmates in BOP custody.  The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Lexington Domicile Office, OIG’s Atlanta Area Office, the FBI, and the Veterans Affairs Police.
