On July 20, 2023, a former BOP Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Federal Correctional Complex Coleman (FCC Coleman) in Wildwood, Florida, was sentenced to 15 months of incarceration followed by 5 years of supervised release for one count of sexual abuse of a ward. Fiona Palmer was sentenced in the Middle District of Florida. According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, Palmer engaged in sexual acts with an inmate at FCC Coleman. The investigation was conducted by the OIG’s Atlanta Area Office.
