On August 17, 2021, a BOP Correctional Officer assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution in Three Rivers, Texas, was arrested following an Indictment charging her with one count of sexual abuse of an inmate and one count of introduction of contraband. Jolienne Salinas was charged in the Southern District of Texas. According to the Indictment, on or about May 10, 2020, Salinas provided or attempted to provide an inmate with methamphetamine. Also according to the Indictment, from in or about September 2019 through in or about May 2020, Salinas engaged in sexual acts with an inmate who was at the time in official detention and under her custodial, supervisory, and disciplinary authority. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Houston Area Office.
