BOP Correctional Officer and Two Former BOP Inmates Arrested for Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances, Bribery, Money Laundering, and Possession of Contraband in Prison

On July 22, 2025, a BOP Correctional Officer, Ashley Brown, assigned to the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in Jessup, Georgia, along with two former BOP inmates, Eric Reyes and Larry Andrews, were arrested following an Indictment, which included current inmates Adrian Simms, Navarus Bryant, Demarcus Bell, Quinton Davis, and Joshua Whigan, containing charges related to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, bribery, money laundering, and possession of contraband in prison.  According to the Indictment, from on or about May 22, 2022, through on or about September 20, 2022, Brown, Sims, and Bryant were engaged in a conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, K2, and marijuana at FCI Jessup, and Reyes, Andrews, Bell, Davis, and Whigan attempted to possess contraband in prison.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Charleston Locale.
