Today, the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released a revised version of its Review of the Department of Justice’s Planning and Implementation of Its Zero Tolerance Policy and Its Coordination with the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services.
A limited number of changes were made to the report following an independent referencing review conducted by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) at the request of the DOJ OIG. The changes were made to the passages of the report to more closely align with the supporting evidence in our underlying work papers, as verified by VA OIG during its independent review. There is a notice page inside the front cover of the updated report with further explanation about the revisions.
The VA OIG concluded that none of the report changes were material or affected the report’s findings, conclusions, or recommendations.
