Good O' Boy Roundup Report - March, 1996

7. Other racist conduct

In his affidavit Hayward alleged a wide variety of additional racist actions at the Roundup. For example, Hayward contended that at the 1989 Roundup a group of ATF agents approached his car as he drove up to the Roundup campsite, shook it, and demanded whether there were any "niggers" inside. He also described an effigy of a black person hanging near the registration desk during the entire Roundup and cassette tapes of racist "comedy" and music that allegedly were for sale.
