  1. Timeliness was based on the 48-hour reporting requirement.  In some cases, the DEA-29s or other loss documents lacked sufficient information with which to calculate the time elapsed or determine timeliness.  These are denoted "could not determine" (CND).

  2. A total of three weapons were reported as having no record in NCIC; these are denoted as N/A.

  3. The DEA’s semiannual Department Theft Reports, which would have included all weapons except weapon 14, were not provided by DEA; these are denoted as CND.
