Non-DOJ Individual Pleaded Guilty to Providing Contraband to a Prison Inmate

On October 7, 2025, Tasha Hammock, a non-DOJ individual and former employee with the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, waived indictment and pleaded guilty in the District of Massachusetts to one count of providing contraband to a prison inmate. According to the Information, on or about August 18, 2024, Hammock knowingly and intentionally provided and attempted to provide a controlled substance to Raymond Gaines, an inmate of the Federal Medical Center Devens. The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Boston Office and the FBI.
