Non-DOJ Individual Indicted and Arrested for Aiding and Abetting Escape of Two BOP Inmates

On June 29, 2021, a non-DOJ individual was arrested after an indictment was returned charging her with two counts of aiding and abetting the escape of two inmates from the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Florence, Colorado.  Lady Budden was indicted in the District of Colorado.  According to the indictment, on or about May 27, 2020, Budden did knowingly aid, abet, counsel, command, induce, and procure two inmates to escape from custody at the FPC.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Denver Field Office and U.S. Marshals Service.
