Former Contract Correctional Officer Charged with and Pleaded Guilty to Bribery of a Public Official and Introduction of Contraband

On November 14, 2022, and December 14, 2022, respectively, a former USMS Contract Correctional Officer previously assigned to the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (NEOCC) in Youngstown, Ohio, was charged with and pleaded guilty to one count of bribery of a public official and three counts of providing contraband to an inmate.  Terry Terrigno was charged in the Northern District of Ohio.  According to the Information, from on or about February 13, 2017, through on or about July 4, 2019, Terrigno accepted monetary bribes in exchange for introducing contraband, namely Suboxone, marijuana, and tobacco, into the NEOCC.  The investigation is being conducted by the OIG’s Chicago Field Office and the FBI.
